Charity People are a UK based recruitment organisation, devoted purely to the UK Charity sector. Set up over 30 years ago, they are passionate about helping non-profit organisations recruit more effectively, more efficiently and more inclusively. Having placed over 30,000 people into paid and voluntary roles, they are driven by making impact driven appointments that can genuinely change the world.

The Brief

Charity People originally approached OXygen to work with them in Nov 2020 to support them for a period of six months in putting together a strategic marketing and communications plan, updating their brand guidelines and implementing those across all their marketing materials. Once a full briefing had taken place and a review of their website and current materials had been done, it became clear that alongside the development of the strategic plan, a website re-design and user experience review should be carried out as part of our work. This would then enable Charity People to not only have more a more planned communications strategy internally, but to increase their brand presence and ambitions to their clients and candidates alike, highlighting their main aims for 2021. 

The new website not only outwardly reflects the strong Charity People brand, but also allows for increased control and flexibility over the websites content internally, allowing Charity People the versatility to keep content fresh and relevant at no additional external cost to them.  

The Results

Work is ongoing on updating and refining the content for the new website and the strategic plan is yet to be put into action to drive traffic towards the site, but early indicators in the first few weeks after launch are of a 40% increase in users and a much increased average user time on the site. 

We have been working with OXygen for around 5 months now and we’ve been blown away with their creativity, input and overall responsiveness. They genuinely have felt like an extension of our own organisation and the quality of work has been very high. They seem to have mastered the balance of how much communication we as an external partner needed. Ultimately this partnership has exceeded my expectations, providing an output that I am sure matches what we might have hired someone to do as part of the staff team, at a fraction of the cost.
